The goal of rebranding the GSU College of Arts and Sciences newsletter was to create a more engaging, visually appealing, and user-friendly communication that drives higher event attendance and improves open and click-through rates. A key focus of this rebrand was making the newsletter more visually appealing to Gen Z by incorporating modern design elements, bold typography, and dynamic visuals that resonate with a younger audience.

By refining the newsletter’s design, content structure, and messaging, we aim to capture readers’ interest quickly and provide clear calls to action that encourage participation in college events. Strategic use of compelling subject lines, personalized content, and interactive elements will help boost engagement and ensure recipients find value in every edition. Additionally, optimizing the newsletter for mobile devices and integrating social media links will expand its reach and accessibility.

Making the newsletter mobile-friendly was a top priority, as a significant portion of the target audience, especially Gen Z, primarily accesses content on their phones. Ensuring a responsive design with easy-to-read text, visually engaging elements, and clear call-to-action buttons enhances user experience and increases the likelihood of higher open and click-through rates. By optimizing for mobile, we made the newsletter more accessible, convenient, and engaging for recipients on the go.
